  - The Structures Congress

STRUCTURES Congress was also derived from "The US-Korea Joint Seminar on Critical Engineering Systems (1987, Co-Chairs: Alfred Ang (Univ of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign) and Chang-Koon Choi (KAIST).” As ASEM and ACEM were getting larger, there arose the need for reorganization of the congress by adding another congress, namely STRUCTURES Congresses from 2016.

While ASEM emphasizes mechanics and theories and is held in every odd number year, the emphasis of ACEM is placed on Design and Applications and held in even number years. The STRUCTURES Congress addresses the latest issues involving from structural design to construction and maintenance, from rather simple structures to more sophisticated structures, such as aircraft and automobile.

The STRUCTURES consists of International Conferences on: Structural Monitoring and Maintenance, Computational Design, Concrete Construction, Ocean Systems Engineering, Aircraft and Spacecraft, and Automotive Engineering. It is also noted that each conference is organized with a close cooperation with its partner journal of Techno-Press. This will make it easier for participants to publish their work with Techno-Press later on.
